Job Summary
The Knowledge Management and Research Officer will support the organization in generating, managing, documenting, and sharing knowledge products that improve programme implementation and organizational learning. The successful candidate will conduct research, produce high-quality reports, document lessons learned, and strengthen evidence-based decision-making across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead knowledge management initiatives across organizational programmes.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support project implementation.
- Document programme activities, best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
- Develop reports, policy briefs, research papers, case studies, and knowledge products.
- Support data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
- Maintain the organization’s knowledge management systems and databases.
- Organize learning events, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of programme information.
- Collaborate with programme teams to improve learning and evidence generation.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities where required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Statistics, Research, Information Management, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in knowledge management, research, documentation, or programme learning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is an added advantage.
