Job Summary
The ICT Technical Advisor to the National Director will provide technical and advisory support to the National Director on ICT systems, cybersecurity and digital solutions.
The role requires hands-on expertise in software development, application security, infrastructure and data protection, while ensuring secure documentation and SOS ownership of all systems.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Advise management on ICT, cybersecurity and digital solutions.
- Develop and maintain secure Laravel applications and databases.
- Manage ICT infrastructure, integrations, backups and system recovery.
- Ensure ICT security, data protection and compliance.
- Maintain documentation, system ownership and technical continuity.
Required Qualification
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or a related field.
Required Experience and Skills
Candidates should have:
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in humanitarian work, project management and an iNGO/NGO environment.
- Strong PHP, Laravel and MySQL/MariaDB development skills.
- Practical experience in application security, Git, APIs and payment integrations.
- Experience with Linux/cPanel hosting, HTTPS/TLS, backups and disaster recovery.
- Knowledge of NDPA 2023, ICT governance, cybersecurity and risk management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
