Job Title: Protection Assistant

Job Summary
The Protection Assistant will support community-based protection activities and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment for vulnerable individuals and groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Support protection awareness and sensitization activities.
- Assist with community mobilization.
- Identify protection concerns and refer cases through appropriate channels.
- Support protection assessments and data collection.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Support activities for vulnerable groups.
- Work with community leaders and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare field reports and documentation.
- Promote safe and inclusive programming.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates with qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Development Studies, Human Rights, Law, Gender Studies, International Relations or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- OND, HND or B.Sc. in a relevant discipline.
- Understanding of protection principles and community-based programming.
- Previous experience with NGOs or humanitarian/development programmes is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and protection principles.
- Willingness to work in field locations.
